Shaw Group

Parrish Taylor of TMC produced and directed a 9:50 second Executive Video presentation sponsored by the Corporate Environmental Health and Safety department.
The presentation introduced in May of 2008 in Colorado at the Shaw Executive Summit. Approximately 200 of The Shaw Group’s corporate executives representing all divisions of Shaw were introduced to the presentation that concluded with a series of questions designed to engage a new awareness to safety.
The project scope included new interview footage of key executives on a high profile construction site in North Carolina. TMC film crews conducted approximately seven interviews at the construction site over a two day period while the Shaw internal video crew supported the project with running B-role of work activity and heavy machinery around the job site.
The interview strategy was to create a comfortable dialog on key topics known referred to as “talking points”. The “talking points” ultimately promoted a new level of personal-safety, responsibility and accountability at all levels of the organization. Key interview topics included “human assets”, “profitability”, “safety culture”, “leading indicators”, “training”, “workforce diversity”, “leadership”, “defining moments”, “…those that do not get it” and a few others.
The post-production and final edit involved six (6) – one (1) minute sequences. One sequence included a variety of different executives speaking on a specific topic. Each sequence was then transitioned together for the final edit using Corporate Guiding Principals which were heavily promoted throughout the division.
The final product continues to be edited and modified for site specific training, site orientations and leadership training.
